Typeface Poster project focusing on Misto, a reverse-contrast display font created by Ukrainian designer, Kateryna Korolevtseva. Misto was inspired by the low and wide buildings of Korolevtseva's hometown, Slavutych. I extended the typeface illustration outside of the poster's boundaries to focus on a horizontal composition to emphasize the wide, stout look of Misto. The color palette comes from Ukrainian and Soviet posters consisting of black, beige, and red.
To me, Misto has a retro-futuristic ambience, and I brought that out with the rings in my design. Since Misto is used in logo design, posters, and packaging, I also designed the layout of my poster to be similar to an album or magazine cover.
